Integrated Design Services
Integrated design is a comprehensive holistic approach to design which brings together specialisms usually considered separately. A few examples are the following:
Design of a building which considers whole building design including architecture, structural engineering, passive solar building design and HVAC.
The approach may also integrate building lifecycle management and a greater consideration of the end users of the building. The aim of integrated building design is often to produce sustainable architecture.
Design of both a product (family of products) and the assembly system that will produce it.
Design of an electronic product that considers both hardware and software aspects, although this is often called co-design (not to be confused with participatory design, which is also often called co-design).
Supervision Services
The company provides the service of engineering supervision over construction projects and extraordinary structures.
Main functions of the Engineering Supervision Manager assigned to a construction project:
Ensure that construction works are carried out according to the design for the structure;
Exercise control over the quality of construction products and equipment use and do not permit their use if they do not conform to the quality requirements of the design, construction technical regulations and regulations governing the safety and purpose of the structure, also if documents evidencing the products‘ quality have not been submitted;
Check the quality and scope of construction works and inform the builder (the client) about any works that do not comply with the normative quality requirements;
Check and accept concealed construction works and structures; take part in the procedures for the testing of engineering networks, engineering systems, equipment and structures and for their recognition as fit for use;
Draft, jointly with the contractor, documents for recognition as fit for use and take part in the procedure for recognizing the structure as fit for use;
Perform the function of the general engineering supervision over the structure and coordinate the special engineering supervision and the work of the Special Engineering Supervision Managers.
Project Management Services
Project management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals within the given constraints.
This information is usually described in project documentation, created at the beginning of the development process.
The primary: constraints are scope, time, quality and budget.
The secondary: challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and apply them to meet pre-defined objectives.
The objective of project management is to produce a complete project which complies with the client’s objectives. In many cases the objective of project management is also to shape or reform the client’s brief to feasibly address the client’s objectives. Once the client’s objectives are clearly established they should influence all decisions made by other people involved in the project – for example project managers, designers, contractors and sub-contractors. Ill-defined or too tightly prescribed project management objectives are detrimental to decision making.
A project is a temporary endeavor designed to produce a unique product, service or result with a defined beginning and end (usually time-constrained, and often constrained by funding or staffing) undertaken to meet unique goals and objectives, typically to bring about beneficial change or added value.
